If you’ve been frustrated by numerous attempts to log into the Playstation Network today, you’re not alone. Sony put out an announcement a few days ago that the service would undergo a bit of maintenance, and the service will be down throughout today.
However, Sony has stated that gamers who have signed into the network within the past few days will still be able to access online games. Recent mentions of this same scenario have been discounted by our readers, but it’s still worth a shot. How long will the maintenance last? Sony has stated that today’s scheduled maintenance will last until approximately 1AM Eastern.
If you’ve signed onto PSN over the past few days, you’ll still be able to play online and access apps during this period, but you may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and Account Management as these services will be unavailable. Be sure to sign in now if you wish to access the Network during this maintenance window.
