Each year, typically in November, brings the gaming community a brand new Call of Duty title. While the title consistently dominates the online play charts, one of the bigger sores for the series has been the widespread hacking that has taken place.
While we still have a little under two months until Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 releases, it appears that the game has already been hacked. YouTube user iHc James has reportedly hacked the game, and released a video showcasing gameplay from the unreleased title. It has been taken down and reposted on numerous channels, but we’ve snagged the video and included it below for you.
It’s rather concerning to see that the game hasn’t even reached “gold” status yet and has already been leaked and modded on a console. It’s likely that the hacker has an alpha or early beta version of the game, but this doesn’t bode well for Treyarch and Activision.

[dropcap]UPDATE:[/dropcap] Activision has reached out to us and released an official statement. We’ve included their statement below:
“The video posted is from a development demo build, using developer tools meant for testing. The retail build was never accessed or compromised.”
It’s great to see that the game hasn’t been hacked and it explains the use of the “[3Arc]” tag within the players names. Keep your pre-orders for the game, as all is back to being normal and safe!
[dropcap]UPDATE 2:[/dropcap] We have been asked to remove the video located within this article from a company representing Activision.
