The PS Vita software update is coming! Sony has released a video detailing everything you can do with the update, which includes user interface updates to the browser that make better use of the touch surfaces, and the added ability to navigate the main menu using the face buttons. These should be welcome changes, as the functionality of the handheld has been somewhat limited thus far. What Sony is delivering in this update should give the system a leg up in the arguments that the Vita is “too gimmicky”.

A handful of PS One Classics will also be available, and include the following right out of the gate:
- Arc the Lad
- Cool Boarders 2
- FINAL FANTASY VII
- Hot Shots Golf 2
- Jet Moto
- Syphon Filter
- Tomb Raider
- Twisted Metal 2
- Wild Arms
It bears mentioning that any users that already own these games on the PSN Store can simply transfer the titles over to their Vita. Hopefully this is the first set of many, a wish echoed by a multitude of comments on the video (many PS One games have not yet been made available to play on the Vita).
