Music games have had their ups and downs over the past decade, but the team at Harmonix is still fighting the good fight with their next title Rock Band Blitz. According to Harmonix we can expect it on PSN August 28th and on XBLA the 29th, for $14.99 and 1200 MSP respectively.
With their latest entry, Harmonix is returning to their roots with a note-matching system similar to their PS2 titles Frequency and Amplitude. No plastic instruments are needed, just your regular old controllers. But what’s the most exciting thing about Blitz? It takes advantage of all the songs already on the Rock Band music store. The default game will still come with a selection of games, the following of which were announced as well.
- Avenged Sevenfold – “So Far Away”
- Fun. ft. Janelle Monae – “We Are Young”
- Kool & The Gang – “Jungle Boogie”
- My Chemical Romance – “Sing”
