In a rather strange announcement this morning, it has been revealed that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be receiving trophy support. Surprised? We are too, especially considering that MGS4 released initially in June of 2008.
Rumors were surfacing quite often when the Playstation 3 first received trophies, as fans were expecting Metal Gear Solid 4 to receive trophy support as well. Hideo Kojima is planning to releasing a digital version of MGS4 over the Playstation Network next month, as well as a patch for existing owners of the physical copy.
It’s great to see trophies finally coming to a classic title such as Metal Gear Solid 4. Kojima has another announcement coming on August 30th for his Metal Gear Solid 25th anniversary event.
What do you think about MGS4 finally receiving trophy support? If you’ve never played the title, you can pick it up for cheap today. Be sure to let us know what you think by leaving us a comment below, or discuss Metal Gear Solid 4 in our forums.
