There’s been some bad news spreading today regarding Radical Entertainment. Radical, a subsidiary of Activision, is best known for their Prototype series, or for last generations The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. The bad new is, the majority of the staff has been let go, and the studio is officially closing up shop. The major cause appears to be lower than expected sales for their latest release, Prototype 2.
According to the folks over at ShackNews, selling the studio was considered, but Activision eventually decided against it. Anybody still looking forward to the PC release of Prototype 2 has nothing to worry about, as their Facebook page explains it’s still planned to launch this July 24th.
