While Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is set to dominate consoles and PCs this November, the Call of Duty series will be making its way to handheld systems as well. Until today, no information was given on the upcoming handheld title other than the name.
Today, we’re bringing you the first information on Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified. Thanks to a seemingly errant listing, Wal-Mart has outed the very first information on the title. We’ve included the blurb from their website below.
Before the future could be won, history had to be written. Exposing that story exclusively on PlayStation Vita, Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified explores original fiction in the Call of Duty Black Ops universe with an all-new campaign of Special Ops missions. Optimized for gamers on-the-go, Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified delivers the most intense handheld Call of Duty experience to date, including both Special Ops Story mode and Multiplayer combat tailored for the PS Vita.
With the information above, we know that the campaign will be an original story compared to what will be told in Black Ops 2. We’ll also be seeing both Spec Ops missions and competitive multiplayer in the title as well. There’s no mention of a zombies mode, but fans of the series can only hope.
