If you’ve been hesitant to put down the money to try out Star Wars: The Old Republic since its launch last year, then this weekend gives you the ability to try it out. BioWare and EA have announced that this weekend will be a free-to-play weekend for Star Wars: The Old Republic.
However, if you’ve already used one of the “free trials” in the past you won’t be able to take part in the “free” part of the weekend. There’s no credit card needed when you register, and your characters will carry over. That’s right, if you enjoy the free-to-play weekend enough and decide to purchase the game, your characters from the free trial will carry over into the full game.
The trial starts today, and will be live all the way through Sunday April 9th. You’ll be capped at level 15 for your character, but you’ll be able to visit all eight Origin Worlds. If you’re ready to play and try out Star Wars: The Old Republic, you’re able to sign up now!
