For quite some time, rumors have circulated in regards to Sony’s next console being announced or revealed. While Sony has already stated that they won’t be showing the console at E3, a new rumor has surfaced today stating otherwise.
With Nintendo showcasing a new console, and Microsoft surely unveiling their new console as well, it would seem like a missed opportunity for Sony to not at least make some sort of an announcement. Thanks to a report by SilleGamer, we’ve learned that PSM3 has a new rumor stating Sony will at least be announcing the Playstation 4 at E3 2012.
Below, we’ve included an excerpt from the latest PMS3 issue:
“Nintendo will attend E3 with Wii U, Microsoft will make a next-gen announcement, and Sony need more than Vita to convince the world they’re equipped for a new console era. Don’t hold your breath for hardware designs, but some proof that PS4 exists is vital to Sony’s success. Expect a name –Playstation 4, duh – at E3, with more at TGS.”
Though nothing is concrete, it seems highly likely that Sony will at least announce or reference that the Playstation 4 is on its way.
