Chances are that if you’re a Call of Duty fan you were aware of two new maps going live for Modern Warfare 3 yesterday. Call of Duty: Elite subscribers are able to pick up the two new maps, Piazza and Liberation, for free as part of the content drop schedule for Elite members.
Along with the first two maps going live for the title, Activision has revealed the schedule for all of the remaining downloadable content for Modern Warfare 3. All in all, you can expect ten maps, six Spec Ops missions, and two new game modes over the course of the next nine months.
Below, we’ve listed the schedule as Activision has outlined it on their official Call of Duty website.
- February: New map
- March: New map, two new Spec Ops missions
- April: Two new maps
- May: New map, new Spec Ops mission
- June: New map, new Spec Ops mission, new game mode
- July: Two new maps
- August: New map, new Spec Ops mission, new game mode
- September: New map, new Spec Ops mission
If you’re not an owner of the Call of Duty: Elite membership, then you’ll have to wait for an unannounced date for the availability of the maps. Xbox 360 owners are receiving the content first due to an exclusivity period with Microsoft, with Playstation 3 and PC owners receiving it once that time is up.
