THQ & Obsidian Are Working on a South Park RPG

No, we didn’t randomly insert a random game in there.  You eyes are not deceiving you, and Obsidian and THQ are working on a South Park RPG to be revealed in the upcoming Game Informer January issue.

The title will start you off as the brand new kid in town, and the title is listed as a “full-scale RPG”.  You’ll be given the ability to make new friends in the town, and tasked with defending it from various threats.  The title is actually set to hit the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, but no release date has been confirmed as of yet.

What do you think about a “full-scale” RPG centered around South Park coming to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3?  After Alpha Protocol, Obsidian has a lot of making up to do in the RPG world.  Are you intrigued or do you think it’ll be something to pass over?  Be sure to let us know what you think by leaving us a comment below, or sound off in our forums!

When not writing for the site, you can find Dougie on Xbox Live & Playstation Network (Gamertag: AirUpThere06). He plays just about everything, but loves a good shooter with a great multiplayer experience.
