Kinect Features Detailed for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary

Ten years ago, Kinect didn’t exist.  Ten years ago, fans were treated to the release of Halo: Combat Evolved.  With the title being re-released with high definition graphics and new features, quite a few fans were wondering what the Kinect features would be.  Today, we’re here to provide you with official details as to how Kinect will be implemented in the title.

The video we’ve included above would be from the New York Comic Con Halo panel, which is where the features were first announced.  Kinect will essentially have three main uses or features while playing Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.  Below, we’ve listed the main features for Kinect in the title.

  • Use your voice to switch between the original graphics, and the high definition graphics.  Also, use the voice commands to do things such as reload & lob grenades.
  • Saying “Analyze” will put you into Analyze mode.  This feature allows you to scan in-game items, weapons, characters, items and import them into your library.
  • You’ll be able to enter the “Library” mode to have more information on these items that you scan.  You’ll be able to use Kinect to have a better look at these items and models.

When not writing for the site, you can find Dougie on Xbox Live & Playstation Network (Gamertag: AirUpThere06). He plays just about everything, but loves a good shooter with a great multiplayer experience.
